EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Permanent Full-Time
                   
The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is currently accepting applications for a positive, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to fill the permanent position of Administrative Assistant for our Team. 
 
Position Requirements
 
Education
• Successful completion of a post-secondary certificate/diploma in Business Administration or Office Administration or a closely related discipline
Experience
• A minimum of two years of experience in a progressive administrative position
• Previous experience providing administrative support to a senior manager is an asset
• You have demonstrated the ability to independently prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment to meet stringent deadlines. Adept with technology and customer focused, you are an effective communicator and a tactful professional

Salary Range in accordance with experience and the 2018 Municipal pay grid, range of $16.82 - $21.02 per hour.

WASTE MANAGEMENT AD HOC COMMITTEE
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED
 
The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is currently seeking Applications for Members for a Waste Management Ad Hoc Committee.
 
Appointment of two (2) members of the public shall be to consider and make recommendations regarding waste collection in the Municipality.
 
The following qualifications would be an asset for members of the Waste Management Ad Hoc Committee:
 
• Knowledge of Ministry of the Environment Conservation and Parks legislations (MECP);
• Ability to conduct site visits across the Municipality of Hastings Highlands; 
• Be impartial when fulfilling responsibilities. 
 
Applicants shall be 18 years of age, a Canadian Citizen, a resident of Hastings Highlands and hold a Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence. Successful candidates shall pass a Criminal Reference check, comply with our Health & Safety Policy and all provincial legislation and sign a Code of Conduct for Members of local boards.
The Committee meets as required.
