Hastings Highlands Council Appoints Deputy Clerk

Maynooth, ON – As part of the Municipality’s succession planning, Council is pleased to announce that they have appointed Chantelle Beaumier as the Deputy Clerk for the Municipality.

Chantelle is not new to the Municipality; she has been employed with Hastings Highlands since June of 2019 as the Administrative Assistant. Since arriving to the team in 2019, Chantelle has proven herself to be an asset to the organization.

“Council is excited to welcome Chantelle to her new role as Deputy Clerk. Her years of experience already working for the Municipality will prove to be valuable for our team,” said Mayor Tracy Hagar.

As Deputy Clerk for the Municipality, Chantelle will be responsible for assisting in fulfilling the duties of the Municipal Clerk as set out in the Municipal Act, 2001 and other related legislation.

In addition, she will be responsible for assisting in carrying out responsibilities in the following function areas: records management, council and committee services, bylaw coordination, communications, licensing, vital statistics, cemetery management and assistance with all aspects of the municipal election processes.
As the third largest growing Municipality in the County behind the City of Belleville and the City of Quinte West, Hastings Highlands is preparing for the future. As a recent recipient of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators Award for succession planning, the Municipality continues to make investments today to ensure success for the future.
