Hastings Highlands – Poster Making Contest

It’s that time again! Hastings Highlands is kicking off their annual ‘Keep Hastings Highlands Beautiful’ Poster Contest. The theme for this year is ‘The 7R’s of Zero Waste: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Repurpose, Reuse, Recycle and Rot.’ The contest runs from March 7, 2022 – March 25, 2022 (4:00 p.m.) so get your pencil and pencil crayons sharpened! A copy of the rules and requirements are included below.

Where can I pick up the Poster Paper and Poster Contest Instructions?

Paper and Contest Instructions will be delivered to Maynooth Public School and Bird’s Creek Public School during the week of March 7-11

Copies will be available at the Municipal Office as well as the Hastings Highlands Library located at 33011 Hwy 62 N. Maynooth, ON.

Where can you drop off your completed posters?

Once you’ve finished you’re poster you can drop it off at the Municipal Office during office hours:
Monday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m.)
Tuesday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
OR
Place in the Municipal Drop Box located out front of the building.

Winners will be notified by email or phone.

Categories: Grade K-2 / 3-5 / 6-8
Prizes: Three (3) prizes per age group

First Place: Digestor + Certificate
Second Place: Composter + Certificate
Third Place: HH ‘Leaders in Waste Management’ Hat (Ball Cap Style) + Certificate
