Tax Certificate

A tax certificate is generally purchased by lawyers dealing with property sales or when a mortgage is being approved for a property. This certificate includes ownership information, tax status, utility status and local improvement fee information. The fee is $65.00 (no tax).

Compliance Letter Requests

A Zoning Compliance Letter is a request submitted to the Municipality to confirm the zoning of a property and if there are any applications under the Planning Act for a property. The fee is $100.00 (no tax).

A Building Compliance Letter is a request submitted to the Municipality to confirm if there are any active or inactive building/septic permits or work orders on file for a property.

• The Building Compliance Letter fee for residential is $200.00 (no tax).
• The Building Compliance Letter fee for institutional/commercial/industrial/multi-residential is $400.00 (no tax)

A Septic Search will only include septic documents in the roll file. The fee is $50.00 (no tax).

A request for Compliance Letters shall be submitted by the owner or the solicitor acting on a sale.
