DECLARATION OF SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT
I, Denver Mayhew, Operations Manager, declare a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02 Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.
Declaration Start Date: March 28, 2025 Time: 3:30p.m.
Reasons for Declaration of Event:
Environment Canada has issued an alert for Central Ontario in respect to a Freezing Rain Warning commencing on Friday, March 28, 2025, into Sunday, March 30, 2025, with widespread amounts of Freezing Rain & Ice Pellets expected.
The Municipality of Hastings Highlands encourages all residents on the roads and sidewalks to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel for the duration of the Significant Weather Event.
The declaration will be cancelled as soon as roadways are deemed safe.

Municipal Office - The Municipal Office will be closed on Monday, August 5, 2024 for the Civic Holiday. The Office will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. (We wish everyone a safe and happy civic holiday).
