New Information Portal Launched for Enhanced Public Communication

Maynooth, ON – The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is proud to announce the launch of Municipal 511 on our website.

Municipal 511 is a map-based road information service designed to enhance communication between the Municipality and the public. As the first municipality within Hastings County to adopt this tool, we are very excited to be able to streamline our communication procedures and keep the public up to date regarding the status of our municipal roads.

Municipal 511 will be used to share:

  • Emergency Road Closures and Repairs: Get updates on road closures, detours, and repair schedules happening within the Municipality.

  • Public Events: Receive information about local events and activities that may impact travel routes in the Municipality.

  • Road Restrictions: Keep up with transportation updates that may affect commercial and personal travel.

  • Safety Issues: Receive crucial information about conditions or risks that may compromise the safety of individuals, vehicles, or property during events that necessitate road closures or traffic modifications.

  • Planned Capital Projects: Stay informed about upcoming developments and infrastructure improvements.

Our Municipal 511 webpage is designed to provide accessible and user-friendly communication for everyone, supporting The Municipality's Strategic Plan and enhancing the quality of delivery for important information while fostering a stronger connection between the Municipality and the public said Mayor Tony Fitzgerald.

The Municipality of Hastings Highlands is excited to continue with its progressive vision and be prepared for the future.
