Hastings Highlands Appoints a Chief Administrative Officer/Treasurer
Maynooth, ON – As part of the municipality’s succession planning, Council is pleased to announce the appointment of David Stewart as the CAO/Treasurer for the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.
David is not new to Hastings Highlands and has been employed with the municipality for over 5 years in various roles with the most recent being the Treasurer/Deputy CAO. In addition to working for Hastings Highlands, David has over ten years of progressive management experience working for the various levels of government throughout Ontario.
“David has proven to be a valuable asset for Hastings Highlands and Council is thrilled to welcome him to his new role as Chief Administrative Officer/Treasurer,” said Mayor Vic Bodnar.
David will begin his new role with the municipality on January 1st and as the CAO/Treasurer he will be responsible to provide the necessary supports to Council for its decision-making as per the Municipal Act, as well as the implementation of Council’s decisions and directions, as well as administering, coordinating and managing the day to day operations including supervision of all financial activities of the Municipality.
David is a graduate of Carleton University with a degree in Commerce and has achieved his Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) from the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.
